Even in its anniversary year, tecair represents premium-quality solutions from Herget. Since the early 1970s, tecair products have stood out for their superior quality, cutting-edge technology, efficiency, and long-lasting performance. Beyond the equipment itself, their advanced air-management components help create a perfectly balanced, natural climate in swimming pools and wellness areas—enhancing comfort and wellbeing for every visitor.
Innovation and a passion for development seem to run in the Herget family. The company’s founder, Walter Herget, was already known for implementing his technical ideas, from incubators to milk-cooling systems for local farmers. In 1965, he took the leap into entrepreneurship with vehicle cooling systems.
Following the 1973 oil crisis, the market demanded new, energy-efficient products. Herget was among the first companies to produce solar collectors and heat pumps. In the swimming pool sector, there was also a growing need for more economical systems. The company responded by developing the first devices with heat recovery—an important milestone that laid the foundation for today’s focus.

Since then, Herget has consistently advanced its products. Today, the company is recognized across Europe for its solutions in swimming pool climate control. With quality and innovative technology, the tecair air-handling systems ensure a comfortable and healthy indoor climate.
From the very beginning, Herget had a clear vision: rather than adapting existing devices—common practice at the time—to meet the complex requirements of swimming pool climate control, the company developed devices specifically designed for this application. Energy efficiency and economic performance were the primary focus, with the earliest units already equipped with heat recovery systems.
A second revolutionary approach was in control technology. While most devices at the time relied on external control cabinets and controllers, Herget developed units with integrated control systems. This focus on developing suitable regulation systems continues to this day. The interplay of parameters such as temperature, humidity, air quality, and pressure in swimming pools is particularly complex. Standard controllers could not achieve optimization, especially regarding energy efficiency, so Herget designed and programmed its own.
The goal has always been to ensure that the control systems meet the specific requirements of the facility, rather than forcing the facility to conform to standardized settings. Significant know-how is embedded in the continuously updated software, reflecting both customer feedback and internal innovations. Milestones include the introduction of the UNICON A controller and, more recently, its successor, the UNICON C.
Over the years, associated air-management systems have also been developed. Today, Herget can proudly claim to be a complete provider in the field of swimming pool climate control.

Decades of tradition and innovation. With quality and outstanding service, we’ll continue supporting our customers for years to come.
