For two years, Behncke has been producing, developing and organizing its operations at the newly built site in Hohenbrunn near Munich. The modern building complex brings together production, logistics, service and administration under one roof and represents the company’s commitment to high-quality pool technology, manufactured with technical precision, innovative processes and a clear focus on sustainability.
“The Hohenbrunn site has significantly changed the way we work,” says Stephanie Behncke-Weber. “We manage all processes from cutting to final inspection across two locations. This gives us maximum control over quality and delivery times.”
Manufacturing expertise at the highest level
The core of the site is the stainless steel manufacturing unit. High-quality built-in components, heat exchangers and many other parts for private and public swimming pools are produced here. Modern laser technology, precise bending processes, automated welding technology and skilled TIG welding combine traditional craftsmanship with industrial production quality.

“Our strength lies in combining a manufacturing mindset with modern production technology,” says Max Paulus, Head of Production. “We can respond individually to customer requirements while ensuring consistently high quality. This is a key competitive advantage.”
Targeted investments in automation and quality assurance have further optimized production. The ability to customize components has become an integral part of the manufacturing strategy and underlines Behncke’s premium positioning.
Efficient logistics and strong service
Logistics also benefit from the new site. Modern storage and shipping areas with capacity for around 1,800 pallets ensure fast response times and on-time delivery in domestic and international markets.
Another central element is the „Maytronics-Service-Center“. More than 2,500 pool cleaners are serviced, repaired and tested here every year. Specially equipped service stations and test pools allow functional testing under real conditions. Optimized processes and modern diagnostic technology have significantly reduced processing times.
“Service is not an add-on for us, but a central part of our quality promise,” emphasizes Caroline Behncke-Wild. “Our customers expect reliability, speed and expertise. This is exactly what we deliver in Hohenbrunn.”

Sustainability and modern working environment
In addition to technological development, sustainability plays an important role. Energy-efficient building systems, photovoltaic installations and a resource-efficient infrastructure support responsible operations. At the same time, a modern working environment has been created. Flexible office concepts, short communication paths and well-equipped workplaces support collaboration, efficiency and employee development.
“The site is not only a technological step forward, but also a clear commitment to our employees,” says Markus Weber. “Satisfied employees are the basis for quality and innovation.”

Clear focus on the future
Two years after the move, the Hohenbrunn site has established itself as a powerful and future-oriented manufacturing location. Behncke consolidates its expertise here and strengthens its position as one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality pool technology in Europe. The focus is on long-lasting quality, technical precision and continuous innovation, developed and manufactured in Germany for customers worldwide.

About Behncke
Behncke GmbH develops and produces high-quality components and systems for pool technology. The company combines traditional stainless steel processing with modern manufacturing technology and offers solutions for private and public pool installations. In addition to the main site, the company operates a second production facility in Bühne, Saxony-Anhalt, where GRP filter production is located. Quality, sustainability and innovation form the foundation of the company’s activities. Behncke stands for industrial precision with a manufacturing mindset and for technology that delivers long-term performance.

From idea to product
The “Revolution” product range is a clear example of Behncke’s development and manufacturing approach. New solutions do not arise from theory, but from real market requirements and daily practice in pool construction. The goal is to develop functional built-in components that are flexible in use and meet the highest quality standards.
The process begins with an analysis of requirements by the engineering, production and manufacturing departments. The product idea is evaluated for technical feasibility, material compatibility and suitability for series production. Only after these aspects are clarified are precise 3D models and technical drawings created, representing the modular structure of the “Revolution” range. A standardized base component forms the foundation for various applications such as lights, floor inlets and more.
Once the production drawings are approved, manufacturing begins. Individual parts are laser-cut from stainless steel sheets and then deburred. The next step is bending, where the material is shaped using computer-controlled machines. Production remains at the cutting edge of technology. A new press brake from Trumpf will be installed in spring this year. High precision and repeatability are already ensured at this stage.
The core manufacturing process is welding. In complex TIG welding processes, individual parts are joined into stable assemblies. The quality of the weld seams is critical for the tightness and durability of the products. All welds are therefore carefully inspected before assemblies are released for further processing.
In the finishing process, all components are chemically pickled and passivated. This ensures long-term corrosion resistance of the stainless steel. Depending on the version, surface finishing follows through polishing or coating. The “Revolution” range is available in four design lines: “Goldline”, “Blackline”, “Satinline” and “Pureline”.
After production is completed, the product and accessories are assembled, packaged and prepared for shipping. With the product launch, series production and sales begin. Installation is carried out by the customer on site, where it becomes clear how consistently development, manufacturing and quality interact.
