A Harmoniously Integrated Garden Pool in Porta Westfalica

WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL
In this garden near Porta Westfalica, the team from Achtermann – Gärtner von Eden enhanced the landscape with a harmoniously integrated pool. The garden area was divided into two levels with different elevations. Both sections are connected by a pathway with Corten steel edging. The existing weeping willow tree remained, creating a light visual screen for the residential house.

The pool area is located in the lower section of the garden. A wall made of Upperkirchen sandstone separates it from the upper garden terrace. The surrounding terrace surface is finished with light ceramic tiles and frames the 8.75 × 3.7 meter RS swimming pool from RivieraPool’s Linea series, which blends seamlessly with its Granite Stone Grey interior.

The pool is equipped with an integrated underfloor roller cover. Its casing also forms the first step of the wide staircase and serves as a comfortable seating ledge in the shallow water area. On the opposite side of the pool, a counter-current system from Fluvo is installed.

For pleasant water temperatures, the garden pool features an HKK air-source heat pump and is controlled via a Bayrol pool management system. Slightly separated from the pool area and discreetly screened by a double-sided wooden wall is an elegant outdoor shower made of stainless steel. In the evening, five underwater spotlights illuminate the pool, complemented by atmospheric garden lighting.

DESIGN DETAIL

Close to the generously sized pool entry – yet visually separated – the homeowners installed a stylish stainless-steel outdoor shower. It is framed by oleander and olive trees, creating a Mediterranean ambiance just steps away from the water.
