An Elegant Pool Connecting House and Garden

WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL

In front of an impressive new-build residence in Düsseldorf, this pool created by Marco Weidner Schwimmbadtechnik forms the perfect link between the house and the garden landscape.

The terrace on the basement level leads directly into a stone bed, into which the pool water gently flows via a mosaic-lined overflow edge. Slightly elevated, the actual pool area presents itself with a generously sized swimming pool and an adjoining whirlpool.

The pool basin belongs to the M-Line series by RivieraPool and is fully finished with shimmering Ezarri mosaic tiles, giving the water a lively sparkle and an elegant color depth.

A wide staircase extends across the entire width of the pool and begins with a shallow water zone, which transitions into a relaxation area at the level of the whirlpool. The whirlpool itself – the RivieraPool Strato 2.0 model – is positioned slightly offset within the pool edge and can be accessed comfortably via the integrated steps.

Its insulated cover can be folded open from two sides. The pool’s roller cover, also insulated, is integrated into the basin in the overflow area and doubles as a bench. The cover slats are made of solar-powered polycarbonate.

Both the whirlpool and the swimming pool are equipped with measurement and control technology from Prominent, enabling automatic regulation of water quality. Water treatment is handled by a filtration system from Astral, while heating is provided via a heat pump connected to the building’s central system.

DESIGN DETAIL

A cubic stainless-steel outdoor shower is elegantly positioned at the transition between the lower terrace and the pool deck.
This allows for a quick rinse before and after swimming without interrupting the flow of movement.
