BINDER Brings More Movement to the Pool

Turbine-powered counter-current systems offer flexible solutions for different pool types and sizes

A counter-current system can turn even a compact pool into a place for swimming, exercise and recreation. With HydroStar, EasyStar and LittleStarlet, BINDER offers turbine-powered swimming systems for a wide range of pool types and sizes. The solutions can be used in concrete pools, natural pools, compact pools and pools with individual shapes.

At the heart of the systems is BINDER’s patented turbine technology. It generates a broad and powerful flow of water that is designed to create a natural swimming experience similar to swimming in a river. The current flows evenly around the swimmer’s body and provides suitable conditions for continuous swimming and endurance training.

The systems can also be used for other activities in the water. Aqua jogging, water gymnastics and wellness exercises can benefit from the broad current. At the same time, the water flow adds an additional recreational element for families and children.

Solutions for new and existing pools
HydroStar can be installed even in relatively small pools with minimum dimensions of 4.5 x 2.5 metres. EasyStar has been developed as a retrofit solution and can simply be mounted over the edge of the pool. It requires a minimum pool size of 5 x 2.5 metres.

LittleStarlet offers another compact installation option. The system can even be installed on a step inside the pool, making turbine technology accessible for pools where installation space is limited.

BINDER counter-current systems are available in different versions with flow rates ranging from 160 to 1,200 cubic metres per hour. According to the manufacturer, the turbine-powered systems consume up to 80 percent less electricity than pump-powered counter-current systems. They also operate with a low noise level and generate no additional splash water.

Users can control the systems via remote control, a button inside the pool or the BINDER24 app.

Control and lighting options
Additional accessories allow pool owners to adapt the system to their individual requirements. LED lighting systems can add colourful lighting effects to the pool.

BINDER also offers the illuminated optical control panel BOB. The system displays the current performance level of the counter-current system and works like a visual speedometer. This allows swimmers to see the selected intensity directly while using the pool.

Those interested in experiencing the different systems can test HydroStar, EasyStar and LittleStarlet during a free trial swim offered by BINDER.

About BINDER
BINDER GmbH & Co. KG was founded by Siegfried Binder in Hameln, Germany, in 2003. The company initially specialised in tubular motors for swimming pool covers.

In 2014, BINDER launched HydroStar, its turbine-powered counter-current system. Unlike conventional pump-powered systems, HydroStar generates a broad and even flow that surrounds the swimmer’s body. The technology combines a natural swimming experience with energy-efficient operation and flexible installation options.

For existing pools, the company later developed the EasyStar retrofit system. Today, BINDER’s turbine-powered swimming systems are used in pools around the world.
