BEHNCKE: Smart control, Low-Salt electrolysis

With aquavision® SMART LS, BEHNCKE brings measurement, control and disinfection together in one compact unit for private swimming pools. The pre-assembled system is designed for pools up to 80 cubic metres and operates at a salt concentration of 0.5 to 1.5 grams per litre.

Electrolysis with a low salt concentration
The system generates chlorine for disinfection directly from lightly salted pool water using an integrated 20 A monopolar Low-Salt electrolysis cell. According to BEHNCKE, the required salt concentration is just 0.5 to 1.5 grams per litre. This low salt content is virtually imperceptible to bathers, contributing to a pleasant swimming experience.

Alongside chlorine production, the unit continuously measures and regulates the pH value. An integrated peristaltic dosing pump delivers the required pH correction chemical. An empty-container alarm input allows the system to monitor the chemical supply.

Touchscreen and app operation
Users can operate the system via its touchscreen display or a mobile app. A LAN connection enables app control and remote access, while a BUS interface supports an external display and extensions.

The technical equipment includes pH and ORP measurement inputs, two PT1000 temperature inputs and four additional function inputs. Connections are also available for skimmer level control and flow monitoring.

Ten 230 V power relays, each with a switching capacity of 10 A, support switching functions. One relay is assigned to pH dosing, while additional relays are available for other pool equipment.

Pre-assembled system solution
The product combination comprises the BEHNCKE Control 1.3 LS, a BEHNCKE measuring cell, a 20 A Low-Salt electrolysis cell and one peristaltic dosing pump for pH control, including accessories.

An additional ORP (gold)/pH sensor package is required for operation. As an optional accessory, a BEHNCKE APF dosing pump can be added for automatic flocculant dosing.
