At Piscine Global 2026 in Lyon, BINDER will present its compact LittleStarlet turbine swimming system. Designed for retrofitting, it gives pool professionals a practical solution for adding a powerful swimming current to existing pools.
Small pools often offer limited scope for continuous swimming. A counter-current system can extend their use, but installation space can be a challenge. BINDER developed LittleStarlet to address this need. The compact unit generates a broad current for sustained swimming and offers flexible installation options for existing pools.

Flexible installation
LittleStarlet measures just 25 cm in diameter and 40 cm in length. Depending on the pool layout, it can be installed on a step or above the equipment shaft of an existing counter-current system. Installation at the existing outlet is another option.
For pool builders and specialist dealers, this creates opportunities to upgrade older installations. A weaker pump-based system can be replaced without drilling additional openings in the pool wall. The compact dimensions also allow installation where space is restricted.
A broad, adjustable current
Despite its size, LittleStarlet delivers a flow rate of 180 m³ per hour. The turbine produces a broad, even current that enables continuous swimming in a small pool.
BINDER further reduced the size of the motor and optimised its performance for the compact unit. A newly developed impeller generates the current and is designed for energy-efficient operation. Users can adjust the current strength continuously via the BINDER24 app to suit their swimming pace.
The housing is also a new design. An LED ring integrated into the outlet adds illumination to the pool.

Developed and manufactured in Germany
LittleStarlet has been part of BINDER’s product range since 2025. It complements the company’s HydroStar and EasyStar turbine swimming systems for private pools. BINDER also supplies HydroStar PRO for applications such as artificial rivers and lazy rivers in leisure and wellness facilities.
The family-owned company is based in Hameln, Germany. Founded in 2003, it manufactures turbine swimming systems and drives for pool covers. A high proportion of its components is produced in-house. Its own design and development teams also work on solutions for specific project requirements.
