Designing Perspectives Through Water

WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL

Set on a sloping property in Bavaria, this pool—realized by Rost Schwimmbadtechnik—connects the elegant residence with the expansive garden landscape. The surrounding stone terrace, which fully encloses the pool, is slightly elevated above the greenery, creating a clear architectural structure.

To allow unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape while swimming, a perimeter overflow pool was chosen, ensuring a high water level. A stone coping, gently overflown by water, visually merges the overflow channel with the terrace.

The pool, part of RivieraPool’s M-Line collection, is fully clad in Ezarri glass mosaic tiles in the color Lava with a metallic effect. The shimmering surface is particularly striking in the shallow-water zone. This L-shaped extension of the swimming area measures 3.2 × 3.18 meters with a depth of 25 centimeters and allows for loungers to be placed directly in the water.

Two concealed roller shutter niches make it possible to cover both the main swimming area and the shallow-water zone with polycarbonate solar slats. Water treatment is fully automated, featuring a complete pool technology system from Ospa. The lighting system is also by Ospa: five large underwater spotlights illuminate the main pool area, while four smaller lights highlight the shallow zone.

A Steeler 90 heat pump from HKR ensures comfortable water temperatures throughout the year.

DESIGN DETAIL

To visually soften the transition between the terrace and the pool, the surrounding overflow channel was fitted with a stone cover. Inside the pool, the in-floor roller shutter housing can be seen, which is also fully clad in mosaic tiles.
