Growing Up in the Alps

From the workshop to the warehouse — the Tubs Parts story.

Tubs Parts was launched in 2006, but the foundations of the company were laid three years earlier. In 2003, Simon Mawby and Gina Atwood started Mont Blanc Spas, installing hot tubs across the French Alps. Spas are complex machines, with lots of parts that can go wrong, and those early years were an intense apprenticeship in how to fix them efficiently. It soon became clear that one of the hardest parts of a repair was simply finding the parts. Concluding that spa owners and repair technicians across Europe likely faced the same problem, Simon and Gina launched Tubs.fr — later to become Tubs Parts as their reach grew beyond France.

A Team That Gets Its Hands Dirty

Fast forward and the Tubs Parts team has now grown to twenty people. Each day they respond to a high volume of calls and emails from technicians who need information that isn’t available on the internet. Sometimes it’s simple reassurance — double-checking a measurement, confirming the compatibility of two parts. Sometimes it’s walking through a full system configuration, or working out a practical control system retrofit for an older spa that the manufacturer stopped supporting years ago. Tubs Parts partners with spa manufacturers to provide technical support to their dealer networks, and even handles warranty service on their behalf.

What makes this possible is a technical and commercial team that speaks five languages — meaning that the same level of support is available to customers right across Europe. But perhaps what matters most is this: the same people answering your call are also working in the workshop, testing products and processing warranty returns. They’re not reading from a script. They have the parts in their hands. It’s that combination of practical, hands-on experience and genuine curiosity about how things work that sets Tubs apart.

What Tubs Parts Offers Professionals

The goal at Tubs Parts has always been to keep spas running. That means making sure the right part is available, at a price that works for the professionals who fit them. Independent repair technicians get access to the same extensive catalogue of parts and technical support as larger operators. For those who want to get parts directly to their customers, Tubs offers drop-shipping and fast order preparation and shipping — so the right component can be at a customer’s door before the technician even arrives. Spa dealers covering larger territories can take advantage of pro-pack bulk purchasing to increase their savings further. And for those looking to build their technical knowledge, Tubs Parts offers training programmes for professionals — something the team is actively looking to expand.

A New Chapter: Leadership Change in 2026

In early 2026, Simon Mawby stepped back from the daily management of Tubs Parts, passing operational control to Quentin Gagnieux. Quentin brings with him both hands-on experience as a spa technician and twelve years of working with Tubs Parts across a range of roles — most recently leading the technico-commercial team, overseeing the expansion of the website into Spanish and German, and spearheading the company’s professional training programmes. He is, in other words, a product of exactly the culture Simon and Gina built.

“We’ve always been lucky to have such dedicated people around us, and Quentin is the perfect person to lead Tubs Parts into the future. He brings fresh energy to the role while being deeply rooted in everything we’ve built.”

Gina Atwood, co-founder and Director of Purchasing.

“Tubs has always been about knowing your stuff,” says Quentin. “That doesn’t change. If anything, we want to go deeper — more languages, more training, more of the kind of support that actually helps people do their jobs.”
