Infinity Design Meets Natural Surroundings

WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL
On a property located directly by a lake near Nuremberg, Biesemann Pool-Landschaften created this tranquil garden pool for a large family. An Ascona entry-level pool from RivieraPool was installed, featuring an overflow edge at the front that creates an infinity effect – when swimming, it appears as though the pool merges seamlessly with the lake.

The overflow channel is positioned low and filled with decorative light-colored stones, creating the illusion that the water disappears into the ground, where it is discreetly returned to the filtration system. The process runs fully automatically, minimizing maintenance requirements.

The pool measures just under ten meters in length and 3.7 meters in width. The dark color of the pool shell gives the water an intense blue tone reminiscent of the lake, allowing the pool to blend harmoniously into its natural surroundings.

A narrow staircase leads laterally into the pool, so that the full length of the pool remains available for swimming. A counter-current system is also integrated below the overflow edge on the front side. Beneath it lies a sleek solar roller shutter cover, concealed under a cascade-style cladding that can also be used as a seating bench.

In the evening hours in particular, this area offers a wonderful place to enjoy the last rays of sunlight reflecting on both the lake and the pool. Alternatively, one can relax on the wooden deck that symmetrically frames the pool.

DESIGN DETAIL
The counter-current system is positioned below the infinity overflow edge, ensuring that the lake view remains unobstructed while swimming. At the same time, powerful water jets allow for athletic swimming.
