Strategy and Unity: Inside the FPP “Assises” Professional Conference in Dijon

The swimming pool and spa sector has just experienced a significant interlude during the ninth edition of the Professional Conference (Assises Professionnelles), held at the Dijon Convention Center on March 19 and 20, 2026. Organised by the FPP (Fédération des Professionnels de la Piscine et du Spa), this event was much more than just a date on the calendar; it was the beating heart of an industry that came together in an atmosphere filled with genuine emotion.

In the aisles, the atmosphere was both strategic and deeply jovial, the pleasure of seeing fellow executives and long-standing partners again, after months of intense management, was palpable.

The Strength of the Collective Driven by Stéphane Figueroa

From the opening, the words of Stéphane Figueroa, in his capacity as President of the Federation of Swimming Pool and Spa Professionals (FPP), set the tone. His speech reminded everyone that behind every industrial decision lies, above all, a human adventure and family projects.

Beyond technical challenges, the focus was placed on building tomorrow’s relationships. This desire to place the human element at the center of professional expertise served as the common thread for a round table dedicated to the customer journey, where every stage was analyzed with professionalism.

A Lucid Look at Today’s Global Challenges

Throughout the exhibition areas, discussions naturally turned toward the international situation. Several market leaders and directors of major groups took the time to share, in total confidence, their analyses of the impact of global geopolitics.

The conversations touched upon macro-economic vision and the fluidity of global trade flows. What emerged from these high-level exchanges was an exemplary solidarity among peers: despite a complex global context, a breeze of measured optimism and a fierce desire to move forward together blew through the “City of the Dukes.” The sector’s resilience now seems to rely on this ability to maintain a clear long-term vision.

Excellence Rewarded and the Future in Motion

The gala evening was one of the event’s highlights, featuring the celebration of the 20th edition of the Swimming Pool and Spa Trophies (Trophées de la Piscine et du Spa). Between the laughter sparked by the improv show and the pride of the winners, this ceremony highlighted exceptional French craftsmanship. Excellence was the guest of honor, with each project testifying to an unwavering passion for the art of “living the water.” We will soon dedicate a specific and detailed feature to these laureates.

The following day, after a morning walk through the historic streets of Dijon, the FPP General Assembly concluded the event on an ambitious note. Following this General Assembly, the Board of Directors officially re-elected Stéphane Figueroa as President of the FPP. He thus begins a fourth term at the head of the organization, ensuring continuity and leadership for the challenges ahead.

We leave Dijon with minds buzzing with ideas and the certainty that the profession holds solid assets for the future.
