Neogeo is the Italian company that has revolutionised the concept of the natural pool starting from a simple question: is it possible to build a basin completely free of synthetic, organic and polluting materials?
Born from the vision of Gianluca Casadio, a designer with an extensive background in landscape scenography, Neogeo is headquartered in Ozzano dell’Emilia and operates throughout the national territory through a network of certified partners.
It was while working on the waterproofing of fibre-reinforced mortars that Casadio abandoned organic resins — susceptible to microbial attack — to explore the world of siliceous crystals and minerals. From this turning point emerged the patents Piumacemento® and Idrocon Sabbia Solidificata®, the constitutive material of Neogeo’s Natural Mineral Pools.
Minimum thickness, maximum performance
Applied at just 20 mm over the excavation, Idrocon Sabbia Solidificata® — mineral and inorganic, based on siliceous crystals and belitic calcite — gives rise to a flexible and monolithic structure, iron-free, that does not degrade over time.
The natural colorations, in sand tones, remain stable and unalterable. For existing pools, whether in fibreglass or concrete, it is possible to intervene with a purpose-built layering system that fully mineralises the pool without the need for demolition, restoring it with the same performance characteristics as a new installation.
The most important advantage: water quality
The absence of organic materials in Neogeo products prevents the proliferation of bacteria and algae, with a reduction of up to one-fifth in the chemical products required for water treatment: a tangible benefit for health, the environment and operating costs.
