Bullfrog Spas celebrates 30 years as a brand – and Europe is now a strategic priority. Adam Patrick, Vice President of Sales, on personalized hydrotherapy with the JetPak Therapy System, virtual sales, dealer growth across Europe and rising costs.
How would you describe Bullfrog Spas’ core identity and mission today – and what does wellness mean for you beyond marketing language?
Our mission is to create Peaceful Lives. This is for the people who own and enjoy our spas, for our team members, and for our dealer partners. We build products to bring more peace to people’s lives: peace in body, mind, and home.

For us, this is wellness. Not just physical wellness, but mental wellness and wellness in the home, among the family, as well.
Stress relief. A place to escape from your computer and phone. Connecting with loved ones. Improved sleep. These are just as important as the relaxation and recovery of the body through hydrotherapy.
What do you think differentiates Bullfrog Spas most clearly from other players in the industry?
What truly differentiates us from others is our JetPak Therapy System. A massage is a very personal experience. Everyone is different. In terms of body shape, height, desired massage pressure, and the location of soreness or stiff muscles, each one of us has different needs.

However, traditional spas follow a one-size-fits-all model. Bullfrog Spas can be personalized to your therapy needs. At the point of sale, in your home, and in the future, many of our spas allow you to change the type and location of the massage with our JetPak technology.
Aesthetically, our spas stand out from others. Our spas have a distinct look that is often described as premium, high-end, and refined. We continue to innovate and launch industry-changing products. From function to design, we blaze our own trail rather than looking to others in our industry for inspiration. From function to design, we blaze our own trail rather than looking to others in our industry for inspiration.
The wellness and outdoor living sectors have evolved significantly in recent years. Where do you currently see the biggest growth opportunities for the company over the next three to five years?
For us, we still have a lot of growing to do in the North American markets, but across Europe, we see the most potential. Bullfrog Spas is celebrating 30 years as a brand this year! However, in Europe, the brand is not as well-known yet.
We have a long-term strategy in place to change that, and we are already seeing the impact of the brand-building efforts that are underway. The number of dealership locations has already grown into triple digits, and we are adding more dealer locations every week.
My advice to business owners interested in representing our brand would be: Do Not Wait.
– Adam Patrick, Vice President of Sales

We are closing markets fast, so contact us right away about the dealership opportunity in your market.
For retailers, we see a big growth opportunity in virtual sales. Something that we saw peak during the pandemic was the purchase of spas without customers ever stepping foot in a store. This style of shopping is here to stay, and we continue to see more and more customers wanting to meet virtually with our sales associates to complete a purchase.
Although this may not be the case in all markets yet, my advice would be to get ahead of the curve and start offering this service to your potential customers now.
How important is the European market for Bullfrog Spas today, and where do you see the strongest potential within Europe?
Extremely important to us. Europe is a strategic priority for our company. It would be dismissive to single out one part of Europe geographically because we are looking for dealership partners across the continent.
We have invested in warehousing in the UK and the EU. We have a team of Export Managers strategically placed across Europe to provide our dealer partners with hands-on support. We are all in on the European markets and here for the long term.
How central is innovation to the company’s long-term strategy? At the same time, premium consumers increasingly expect personalization and individual wellness experiences. How is Bullfrog Spas responding to this shift in customer expectations?
Innovation is one of the founding principles of our company. Today, that word remains one of the few in our brand’s values statement. Innovation is a central part of our company.
We are the industry leader in individual wellness. In no other spa will you find the ability to personalize your massage experience like you can in a Bullfrog Spa. We are also industry leaders in design and premium user experience.
You are right that today’s premium consumer expects a personalized wellness experience. We saw the need 30 years ago when we invented the concept of personalized massage therapy. It truly is why the Bullfrog Spas brand exists: to deliver the ultimate Premium Spa Experience.
How do innovation, customization, and user experience come together in the way you develop new products?
It comes from a mentality of never resting on our achievements. Never looking to the industry for guidance or inspiration. We listen to the voice of our dealer partners and the voice of the end users who choose to include our products in their lives.
There is a common saying here that we regularly put into practice. That saying is, “Think outside the box.”
From your perspective as Vice President of Sales, what are the key factors behind successful growth in today’s market?
It starts with people. You have to have the right people in all facets of the business. Great products are designed and built by people. The programs and strategies that fuel growth come from people.

When we have dealer partners that outpace the market with exceptional growth, it always comes down to the people executing the growth plans. Success starts and ends with the power of your people.
As Bullfrog Spas continues expanding globally, what are the biggest challenges and opportunities when building brand presence in Europe?
Costs will be our biggest challenge. We are a premium brand, and there will always be a market for premium spas as long as the value exceeds the price. Fortunately, we have a brand that does this. When one compares a Bullfrog Spa to a comparable product from a competing brand, the value of a Bullfrog Spa is clear.

However, the rate of cost increases for raw materials and across our supply network is concerning. I see this as a challenge, but not something we cannot overcome. We continue to explore additional sources for materials across the globe, and our existing partners in the supply chain understand this challenge.
We want our products to be accessible and available to as many people as possible around the world.
