RivieraPool, the German pool manufacturer rounds out its underwater lighting lineup with the Riviera Light family. Alongside the established round fixtures R1 and R2, the range now welcomes a new rectangular model: the S1 — a clean, contemporary spotlight designed to fit seamlessly into modern pool architecture.
One Family, Three Fixtures

The Riviera Light system gives pool builders and designers three fixture options to combine as needed. The R1 (ø250 mm) and R2 (ø180 mm) are the compact, round classics of the range, while the new S1 (610 x 150 mm) brings a wide, linear form that works especially well built into the staircase — either on its own or paired with two R2 fixtures along the pool’s long side. Mixing and matching fixtures across a single pool lets designers tailor the lighting layout to the pool’s geometry and the desired visual effect.

All three fixtures share the same LED platform and are available with bezels in Edelstahl (stainless steel), Black, or Zero — the latter a frameless, minimalist finish — so the look can be matched to virtually any pool aesthetic, from classic to ultra-modern.
Precise, Glare-Free Light
The Riviera Light fixtures are built around high-output LED technology that combines strong energy efficiency with brilliant color intensity and even illumination. A translucent lens with an integrated design ring or design strip ensures glare-free light while leaving room to coordinate color, material, and finish with the pool shell, built-in components, and surrounding architecture.

All fixtures are available in a pure warm-white version or with the RGB-WW mode, letting operators dial in exactly the mood they want — cozy warm white for relaxed evenings, or vibrant, saturated colors for a more dramatic effect.

The RIVIERA Smart Dial puts pool lighting and functions within easy reach, right at poolside.
Lighting, alongside the pool’s counter-current system, is fully integrated into RivieraPool CONNECT 1.1, the brand’s central control system. Filtration, backwash cycles, the counter-current jet, roller shutter, and lighting color can all be adjusted via an iOS app or the new RIVIERA Smart Dial, in addition to poolside controls.
Designing a Complete Lighting Concept

RivieraPool points out that a strong pool lighting concept goes beyond the underwater fixture itself. A well-planned installation typically combines several elements:
- Underwater lighting as the visual centerpiece of the pool, generally integrated into the pool walls and designed to be glare-free.
- Ambient lighting within the pool to create a genuine feel-good atmosphere, turning the pool into a visual highlight of the garden after dark.
- Step lighting, with small fixtures built into stair treads to provide essential safety for swimmers moving in and out of the water.
- Orientation lighting outside the pool, including the path leading to it, so the pool remains visually connected to the surrounding garden at night.
Darker pool finishes generally require somewhat more light output than lighter ones to achieve the same visual effect — a detail worth factoring into project planning from the outset.
The Efficiency Argument
With energy costs remaining a key consideration for both homeowners and hospitality operators, RivieraPool emphasizes that efficient LED lighting is now the standard choice — not just for its lower running costs, but for the quality and consistency of light it delivers compared to older lighting technologies.
With the S1, RivieraPool completes its Riviera Light range, giving planners three fixtures that share the same technology and design language but offer the flexibility to suit any pool layout.
