bsw Annual Conference brings together Industry, Awards and Networking

A professional association connects the industry, creates platforms for dialogue and provides opportunities for professional development. This was also the case at the annual bsw–conference. In addition to the professional program, the event also featured the presentation of the “Pool Oscars”, a relaxed evening gathering and a sightseeing tour through Berlin.

A sunny outlook
The bsw annual conference in Berlin began under sunny skies. The mood and commitment of the participants were equally bright, even during the more formal agenda items such as the association’s finances and the debate on amendments to the bsw statutes. bsw President Jürgen Koenig was delighted that so many members had come to actively contribute to the event.

There was also good news in the financial report presented by Treasurer and Board Member Jürgen Bergmann. The association had expected a deficit for the 2025 financial year, but the final result showed a surplus. It is always encouraging when things develop more positively than anticipated. The same applies to the major marketing campaign launched last year by the bsw PR and Marketing Committee together with the adlantis agency . The centerpiece of the campaign is this film:

“Your Life. Your Pool.” is the title of the communication strategy that demonstrates one clear message. A pool is always the right choice.

Pool Designers Take the Winners’ Podium
And it always makes an impression. Whether as a compact mini pool, a classic swimming pool or a luxurious poolscape. This became particularly clear during the evening ceremony of the bsw Awards, when the creators of 27 outstanding pool projects were honored in various categories.

During the ceremony, Jürgen Koenig rightly pointed out that the term “pool builder” hardly does justice to the creativity of these pool design professionals. After all, they transform lawns into pool gardens, terraces into holiday destinations and construction plans into personal retreats.

Congratulations to the swimming pool experts and also to the homeowners who now have wonderful places to disconnect from the hectic pace of the digital world and relax in a very real way.

AI, Electrical Engineering or Sightseeing – A Diverse Professional Program
However, the digital world also has its advantages. Dr. Andreas Kohne highlighted these during the workshop “AI in Daily Business Practice”.

Another seminar offered insights into “Electrical Installations in Swimming Pools”, presented by Frank Eisele & Fritz Schindler. As a third option for the event afternoon, participants could also choose a sightseeing tour through Berlin. After all, the bsw aims not only to bring together a diverse membership but also to address a wide range of interests.

There is, however, one topic where everyone shares the same direction. The goal is to position the pool as the number one leisure feature for private homes. Jürgen Koenig emphasized that it is essential to work together to establish the private pool in the minds of consumers as a preferred leisure investment compared to other options.

Save the Date: bsw Infotage on March 4 and 5, 2027
To further strengthen the industry and bring its members together, the association has created its own event format with the bsw Infotage, which will take place again on March 4 and 5, 2027.

The stage technology partner “Die Broker“, who ensured the perfect setting in Berlin, will also support the in-house exhibition in Düsseldorf. The stage is set. And with such an active bsw community, one thing is certain: the next event will once again be lively and inspiring.
