Elegant Pool Design for a Modern Family Home

WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL
In the garden of a modern newly built home in a district town in Saarland, Herfurth Pool & Co. created a straight-lined pool that integrates perfectly into the architectural design of the property.

The entry-level pool was positioned centrally in the garden and aligned precisely with the columns of the terrace roofing. The pool, model Loft 28 S from Leidenfrost, measures 8.8 × 3.2 meters. It is embedded in a spacious terrace surface with large-format stone slabs surrounding the pool area.

A wide staircase directly connects the elevated terrace with the garden level. The shallow-water lounge area at the house side offers comfortable seating and also houses the integrated underfloor roller cover with solar slats.

A narrow entry staircase leads into the flat water zone finished with light-colored stone slabs. On the opposite side, a centrally positioned waterfall feature adds visual appeal. It not only serves as a design element but also allows for relaxing shoulder and neck massages.

For athletic swimming sessions, a powerful counter-current system with three jets is installed. Water heating is provided by a heat pump. Water treatment is handled by Behncke technology together with a membrane electrolysis system from EWT.

Pool control and automation are managed via the PoolManager Pro from Bayrol in Enzast. In addition to water treatment and pool functions, the system also controls the integrated lighting.

Particular attention was paid to atmospheric evening lighting: several LED underwater spotlights combined with ambient garden lighting create a striking visual setting, placing the pool as the central highlight of the garden.

DESIGN DETAIL

The central placement of the pool within the garden is not only due to architectural planning. The symmetrical layout of the house creates a surrounding “mirror of water,” framed by lush greenery that enhances the overall atmosphere.
