Modern Pool Design for a Contemporary Family Home

WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL
In the garden of a modern single-family home, Schwimmbad & Saunaservice Hausmeier created a bathing oasis that blends seamlessly into the clean, purist architecture of the house and garden. The lawn area, framed by narrow stone borders, is accompanied by flower beds along the long sides. Within this clear structure lies the 8 × 3.2 meter prefabricated pool model Ancona Style from RivieraPool.

The pool features a flat skimmer system and is framed by wide coping stones. The pool color creates a soft light-blue water effect. On the house side, a narrow staircase with silver-gray accented steps leads into the water.

At the opposite end of the pool, a dual-nozzle counter-current system with an elegant cover is integrated, allowing the homeowners to enjoy sporty swimming sessions. To maximize the swimming area, the pool was extended on the opposite side to accommodate a roller cover. The roller shutter housing is clad in the same material as the pool coping and also serves as a practical seating area.

The roller cover itself consists of polycarbonate slats in a solar version, which follow the pool’s linear shape and ensure a consistent design along the long sides. The garden pool also benefits from the straight layout of the garden, enhanced by cubic stone elements along the edges and the wooden deck at the end of the pool, which contrasts beautifully with its round lounge island.

DESIGN DETAIL

To integrate the roller cover into the pool without sacrificing swimming space, the pool was preconfigured accordingly during production. The roller shutter box can also be used as a seating bench.
