Panoramic Living Above the Water

WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL

In the Swiss municipality of Gebenstorf, this pool by Vivell complements the modern single-family home with its clean architectural lines. The residence extends across two basement-supported living levels in a panoramic layout designed to fully capture the valley views. Reflecting this concept, the stainless-steel pool by Gassner was realized in a horizontal arrangement measuring 15.6 meters in length and 3.5 meters in width.

An overflow edge running along the entire valley-facing side of the pool ensures a maximized water level, allowing the panoramic scenery to remain fully visible even while swimming. The pool water is collected in a lowered overflow channel and directed to the water treatment system.

Crystal-clear pool water is ensured by a salt electrolysis system using commercially available regeneration salt. This fully automated water treatment system provides hygienically pure, chlorine-odor-free water that is gentle on both skin and eyes.

The pool is heated via the house heating system, to which it is connected through a plate heat exchanger. To protect the water from debris and preserve warmth, a durable polycarbonate roller cover by Rollo Solar was installed. On warm summer nights, however, the cover often remains open for hours to fully enjoy the stunning atmosphere created by the four LED underwater spotlights positioned in front of the terrace.

DESIGN DETAIL

Directly in front of the covered lounge terrace, a staircase entrance was positioned to provide comfortable access to the pool. The stainless-steel tread plate used for the steps ensures secure grip and is permanently integrated into the swimming pool structure.
