WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL
Swim & Sweat Schwimmbad- und Saunatechnik created this garden pool in North Rhine-Westphalia, whose bright color palette and thatched pavilion evoke a touch of Caribbean island flair. The installation features a rigid PVC swimming pool from the Blue Diamond series by KWS in pure white. Measuring 10 x 4 meters, the pool includes a smoothly integrated corner staircase that provides comfortable access to the water.
At one end of the pool, a concealed roller-cover compartment with a PVC cover panel was installed to house a Grando pool cover. This solution keeps the visual appearance clean and does not interfere with the usability of the swimming lane. For athletic swimming, the pool is equipped with a counter-current system by Fluvo, complemented by a massage system designed for muscle relaxation after exercise.
All additional built-in technical components, including the LED underwater lighting, were supplied by Sopra and manufactured in high-quality V4A stainless steel. Water treatment is fully automated and ozone-based, using a Hydrozon compact filtration system that enables 100 percent chlorine-free pool water treatment from the Sopra portfolio. A low-temperature heat exchanger ensures comfortable water temperatures.
The pool surroundings were intentionally designed to provide shelter from the wind: two sides are enclosed by sandstone walls, while a planted earth berm forms the third boundary. The thatched-roof pavilion offers shaded retreat areas—perfect for relaxing hours with a refreshing drink.
DESIGN DETAIL
In one corner of the pool—strategically positioned near the outdoor shower—the pool entrance staircase is located. Its diamond-shaped steps are permanently integrated into the swimming pool, a design made possible by the rigid PVC construction.
