A Versatile Pool for Every Generation

WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL

A young family in Münster envisioned a pool in their city garden that would serve both as a place of relaxation and as an area for play and swimming.

The specialists at Pools & Ponds designed a concept that divides the garden into different functional zones. The new high-level pool is positioned centrally on the terrace area, connecting the various spaces within the garden.

The pool’s proportions were carefully aligned with the width of the house, maintaining a consistent architectural line. While one long side is bordered by a generous flower bed that enhances the swimming experience, the slightly elevated garden area on the opposite side is separated by a low wall made of light natural stone blocks.

The pool measures 8 × 3.7 meters and is equipped with a roller shutter system. The slatted cover reduces heat loss through evaporation and helps lower energy costs.

Above the cover system, a turbine counter-current system by Binder has been installed, making the pool equally suitable for both children and adults. This allows for everything from relaxed swimming to more athletic training sessions.

An intelligent and highly efficient pool control system minimizes maintenance and cleaning efforts, leaving more time to enjoy the garden.

From early morning to late evening, the pool area serves as a central meeting point for the family—especially in the evening hours, when they gather by the water and enjoy the calm atmosphere enhanced by subtle LED lighting.

DESIGN DETAIL

Thanks to the high-level pool design, the water level sits just about three centimeters below the pool edge— a visually elegant and refined solution.
Directly in front of the house, a wide staircase leads into the refreshing water.
