Alpine Luxury with a View to Remember

WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL

For the mountain pool of this luxury chalet in Carinthia, only the very best would do. As the central feature of the hideaway, it was designed to offer both the owners and their guests an exclusive bathing experience. This alone made the project especially appealing for the pool experts at Sopra Salzburg—but so did the ambition to enable year-round pool use at an altitude of 1,323 meters, as well as the idyllic location in the Carinthian Nock Mountains, right by a stream and close to a ski slope.

As the highlight of the chalet’s private spa and garden, a 6.5 x 3.4 meter stainless steel pool was integrated into the elevated terrace landscape, right next to the fire pit. From an energy perspective, the goal was to keep consumption and operating costs as low as possible. The pool was prefabricated in one piece, and the pool body was additionally insulated..

It features a high waterline and includes an integrated tubular lounger with air bubble function, accommodating up to three people—ideal for relaxing in warm water while enjoying views of the stream, alpine meadows, and mountain peaks. The roller cover, invisible during operation, effectively reduces heat loss when the pool is not in use. A powerful turbine counter-current system with multiple intensity levels enables endless swimming for exercise.

The pool is powered as much as possible by electricity from a photovoltaic system or battery storage. Fully automated pool technology, controllable via remote access, handles complete water care as well as functions such as eco mode and backwashing during nighttime hours.

Chalet Falk, together with its Sopra pool, combines wellness, architecture, and nature—and is available for exclusive year-round booking.

DESIGN DETAIL

As if from nowhere, a motorized roller cover moves across the pool when it is not in use. It slides out from a narrow slot, extending over the bubble lounger, the entry steps, and the entire water surface.
