The Italian company unveiled at Salone del Mobile 2026 the preview of its new sauna and hammam system, designed by Patricia Urquiola.
Effe Perfect Wellness turned Salone del Mobile into the stage for its forthcoming collection, presenting in preview Baluar — a modular sauna and hammam system that marks the beginning of a collaboration with designer Patricia Urquiola.
As the name suggests, Baluar draws its design language from the medieval fortification, a form that consecrates the intimacy of wellness rituals through seating deliberately concealed from view.

The interiors — surprisingly generous in scale — are conceived to evoke a hushed, sheltered atmosphere, where the transparency of glass and the intrusion of external light are, for once, held at bay by Urquiola’s studied design sensibility and an entirely feminine vision of the project.

The result is an immersive, enveloping experience whose quiet force finds its counterpart in the bold verticality of the exterior. Beyond asserting Baluar as an elegant yet uncompromising architectural presence, the ribbed lines suggest the importance of not crossing the metaphorical threshold of contemplation — leaving bustle and urgency beyond the walls.

Both available in two finishes — light and dark — the fixed-dimension modules are crafted in thermally treated linden wood (sauna) and mosaic (hammam), and may be adopted individually or in pairs, in a variety of configurations.
Set to go on sale in early 2027, Baluar crowns a period of vigorous expansion for Effe Perfect Wellness, which has also recently inaugurated a new 800-square-metre showroom near Cesena — nestled within a park and built to full sustainability standards.
