Seaside Calm with a Private Pool Perspective

WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL

Set on a lakeside property with direct access to the shore via a narrow grassy path through the reeds, this exceptional pool was created to blend seamlessly into the individually designed estate.

The expansive wooden terrace—like the entire dream residence—is designed in an American lodge style, both conceived by the homeowner himself. From the outset, it was clear that a pool with equally strong character should be an integral part of the overall concept—purist, natural, and timeless.

On recommendation, Rambow Pooldesign was commissioned to bring the project to life. The decision was quickly made in favor of a fair-faced concrete pool, with the option to refine the surface later using other materials—such as tiles or an elegant interior lining. This flexibility was initially chosen due to some hesitation regarding the tactile qualities of exposed concrete.

Today, those doubts have vanished, and the homeowner is more than proud of this beautiful and rather unique pool—the idea of alternative finishes is now a thing of the past.

As the pool was intended for year-round use, a comprehensive energy-saving concept was essential. This was ultimately achieved with a four-season heat pump and a slatted cover equipped with solar elements.

The technical setup also includes a remotely monitored full automation system connected to a central control unit, as well as a saltwater electrolysis system for water disinfection.

The pool was designed as a high-level pool with an elevated water level, allowing swimmers to enjoy uninterrupted views across the open landscape toward the lake beyond.

DESIGN DETAIL

The American way of life naturally also includes a portable spa, which has been positioned at the end of the pool terrace. It is installed flush with the surrounding surface and, when closed with its insulated cover, aligns seamlessly with the wooden deck to create a clean, continuous look.
