Sustainability takes center stage in the pool industry
Sustainability has become one of the key drivers of innovation in the swimming pool and wellness sector. Reducing energy consumption, improving water efficiency, and developing more environmentally responsible solutions are increasingly important priorities for manufacturers, installers, and pool owners alike.
Against this backdrop, Fluidra has reported significant progress in its ESG strategy throughout 2025 and has reaffirmed its commitment to achieving carbon neutrality for Scopes 1 and 2 by 2027.
More renewable energy and a 70% emissions reduction
One of the most notable achievements of the year has been the continued expansion of renewable electricity use, which reached 93%, up from 89% in the previous year.
Thanks to this energy transition and other decarbonization initiatives, the company has reduced its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 70% compared to 2021 levels.
Key measures include the gradual electrification of its vehicle fleet, the installation of solar panels across production sites, ongoing energy optimization initiatives, and the adoption of biofuels in selected operations.
In addition, Fluidra improved its overall energy efficiency by 5% during the year.

Water efficiency: a key challenge for the pools of the future
Water remains a core strategic priority for the company. Through its “Water Positive 2030” program, Fluidra is developing initiatives aimed at optimizing water use and promoting more sustainable resource management.
In 2025, water intensity decreased by 10%, falling from 124 to 112 m³ per thousand euros of sales. At the same time, the company began investing in water resilience projects in Spain and Brazil, focused on improving water availability and conservation through nature-based solutions.
These efforts align with a broader trend in the pool industry: the development of filtration, pumping, and water treatment systems that maintain high water quality while using fewer resources.
More sustainable products for the pool market
Sustainability is also embedded in product development. Today, 59% of Fluidra’s sales come from solutions that the company internally classifies as sustainable.
This reflects growing demand for more efficient equipment in both residential and commercial pools, capable of reducing water and energy consumption without compromising performance.
These solutions include high-efficiency filtration systems, variable-speed pumps, automation equipment, and connected technologies that optimize pool maintenance.

International sustainability recognition
Fluidra’s sustainability performance was also reflected in several internationally recognized ESG assessments during 2025. The company received a score of 77 in the S&P assessment, a B rating in both CDP Climate and CDP Water, and an AA rating from MSCI. In addition, Fluidra reported a global Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 54, a metric used to measure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Goals for 2026
The company’s roadmap continues to move forward with even more ambitious targets for the coming year. By 2026, Fluidra aims to reach 96% renewable electricity usage and reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 90% compared to 2021 levels.
It also plans to certify six additional facilities under ISO 14001, increase the share of sustainable products in its sales mix to 60%, and further improve water management with a 3% increase in water efficiency. As part of its water stewardship strategy, Fluidra also aims to offset up to 20% of its water footprint through projects in local river basins.
A commitment that goes beyond manufacturing
Fluidra’s climate strategy extends beyond reducing its own direct emissions. The company is working to transform its entire value chain by engaging suppliers, customers, and industry stakeholders to progressively reduce Scope 3 emissions as well.
It also remains committed to investing in certified carbon offset projects and initiatives that generate positive social impact in the communities where it operates.
The future of pools will be more efficient and connected
The evolution of the market confirms that sustainability will be one of the main innovation drivers in the pool and spa industry. Renewable energy integration, smart management systems, more efficient filtration technologies, and water-saving solutions will shape the sector in the years ahead.
With the progress achieved in 2025 and the targets set for 2026 and 2027, Fluidra strengthens its position as a global leader in the transition toward a more efficient, connected, and environmentally responsible pool industry.
