Top Quality Through Extensive In-House Manufacturing

BINDER produces the majority of its components in-house

Swimming pool technology specialist BINDER manufactures its turbine-driven counter-current swimming systems using state-of-the-art machinery. By producing a large proportion of the required components in-house, the company achieves a highly efficient manufacturing process while significantly reducing its carbon footprint.

For the production of its turbine swimming systems and DC motors, BINDER utilizes CNC milling machines, a cycle-controlled lathe, and CNC lathes, most of which operate fully automatically. The company’s machinery fleet has recently been expanded to include a collaborative TIG welding robot. Compared to the manual welding process previously used, this robot not only delivers greater efficiency but also ensures consistently uniform weld seams. The result is an exceptionally high-quality end product.

Using modern machinery, BINDER manufactures most of the semi-finished components required for its turbine swimming systems and motors in-house from stainless steel, aluminum, plastic, and brass. This high level of vertical integration sets BINDER apart from many of its competitors. In-house production enables the company to carry out all manufacturing steps according to its own rigorous quality standards, ensuring that customers consistently receive the same trusted level of quality. Furthermore, because only a smaller proportion of components needs to be sourced from external suppliers, transportation-related CO₂ emissions are significantly reduced.

About BINDER

BINDER GmbH & Co. KG celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2023. Founded in 2003 by Siegfried Binder in Hamelin, Germany, the company initially specialized in the manufacture of tubular motors for pool covers. In 2014, BINDER launched its revolutionary HydroStar turbine swimming system, which provides users with a natural swimming experience.

Unlike pump-driven counter-current systems, HydroStar generates a broad, uniform current that envelops the entire body. The turbine-powered swimming system is easy to install and operates with outstanding energy efficiency. HydroStar has won over pool enthusiasts around the world and has received numerous prestigious awards.

For installation in existing pools, BINDER developed EasyStar, a retrofit turbine swimming system that allows pool owners to enjoy the benefits of HydroStar technology without the need for extensive modifications.
