WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL
In Müllheim in the Markgräflerland region, this garden pool was realized by Hügel mehr Garten and integrated into the existing landscape in such a harmonious way that it appears as if it had always been part of the garden.
The entry-level pool from Compass Pools – model Elegant Max 80 measuring 8 × 3.7 meters – is embedded in a spacious gravel bed planted with ornamental grasses and decorative shrubs. The overall design reminds the homeowners of their favorite vacation destination on the North Sea coast.
Square coping stones frame the pool, while geometric Corten steel elements complement the surrounding garden design. At the rear end of the pool, an underfloor roller cover from T & A closes the pool when not in use. The cover also utilizes solar gains and helps maintain pleasant water temperatures.
An HKR heat pump provides additional heating whenever the desired temperature has not yet been reached. The housing of the roller cover is designed in such a way that it can also be used as a comfortable underwater bench.
On the opposite side of the pool, between the two side entry staircases, a turbine counter-current system from Binder was installed to allow for more intensive swimming training.
To keep maintenance requirements as low as possible, the homeowners chose an automatic dosing system – the Poolmanager from Bayrol – which ensures fully automatic water treatment.
DESIGN DETAIL
The pool features two entry staircases on the sides, which are intentionally kept very narrow so that swimming is not restricted. For easier access, a stylish stainless-steel handrail from Ideal Eichenwald was installed on the pool edge.
