CF Group: A European Multi-Specialist Shaping the Future of Pool and Water Solutions

CF Group is one of Europe’s leading providers of products and solutions for swimming pools, wellness, and water treatment. The family-owned company was formed in 2019 through the merger of Chemoform AG (Germany) and FIJA SAS (France), bringing together more than 60 years of expertise in water treatment, pool technology, and wellness solutions.

Headquartered in Wendlingen, Germany, CF Group originally focused on the production and distribution of chemical products for pool water treatment. Over recent years, the company has significantly expanded its portfolio through in-house product development and targeted strategic acquisitions. Today, CF Group is recognized as one of Europe’s leading full-range suppliers for the entire pool and wellness sector.

This strong market position is underlined by a well-established brand portfolio, including Chemoform, DELPHIN, delifol, DEL, Aqualux, Starline, OCEA, Dr. Nüsken, Balena, dinotec, CF, and Lacoform—brands that are widely known and respected throughout the industry.

With more than 1,000 employees, 17 production and logistics sites, and a presence in over 40 countries, CF Group operates a robust international network serving both trade partners and end customers.

Sustainability as a Strategic Focus

For CF Group, success is not merely about manufacturing and selling pools, pool equipment, and water care products—it is about doing so responsibly and with a long-term perspective. Growth in the company’s key markets, including France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, is driven by rising living standards, increased investment in leisure environments, and a growing awareness of healthy lifestyles.

In response, sustainability has become a central pillar of CF Group’s corporate strategy. The company strongly believes that the “Pool of the Future” will go far beyond its traditional role. Rather than serving solely as a place for recreation and relaxation, the pool will evolve into a multifunctional asset—acting as a water and energy storage system for the household and contributing actively to the conservation of natural resources.

At CF Group’s dedicated product development center, the TECHNOCENTRE, teams are working intensively on these concepts. The goal is to continuously improve the sustainability of products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and user convenience.
“Our growth has been driven by the acquisition of leading companies in their respective markets, and we have placed sustainability at the very heart of our corporate strategy,” says Cedrik Mayer-Klenk.

Three Complementary Business Segments

The Pool & Wellness segment represents the core of the group’s activities. Each year, CF Group produces approximately 25,000 pool liners, around 40,000 tonnes of water treatment products, and more than 17,000 pool covers. Water treatment—centered around the Chemoform brand—remains the backbone of the business.

With the brands DEL, OCEA, and Roldeck, CF Group consolidates extensive expertise in pool cover systems. The portfolio is further complemented by pools ranging from DIY steel wall pools to premium monoblock swimming pools under the Starline brand, as well as a wide array of pool equipment such as pool cleaners, pumps, and showers marketed under the CF brand. In the wellness segment, the offering includes sauna fragrances, wellness cosmetics, and related products.

The Ponds business segment provides an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional pools through natural pools and swimming ponds under the BALENA brand. In addition, CF Group offers a comprehensive range of products for ponds and water gardens through the Heissner brand.

The portfolio is rounded off by the Drinking Water Treatment segment. As a company committed to environmental responsibility, CF Group places strong emphasis on developing solutions that ensure the hygienic, efficient, and resource-conscious use of water. Its subsidiary dinotec delivers advanced systems for water analysis and treatment. Furthermore, within the framework of the “Pool of the Future” initiative, CF Group is conducting intensive research into sustainable water treatment technologies.

“CF Group will not only be active in the world of swimming pools, but also in the sustainable treatment of the world’s drinking water.”

With its international footprint, broad brand portfolio, and clear focus on innovation and sustainability, CF Group considers itself well positioned for the years ahead. For both trade partners and end customers, the company stands as a reliable, forward-looking partner in the fields of pool, water, and wellness solutions.
