WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL

On an idyllic lake in Lower Saxony, directly at the waterfront of a newly built residence, WEERTS Pools & Spa realized an extraordinary pool project. A former entrepreneur fulfilled his dream of a modern swimming pool that blends harmoniously into the architecture, is easy to maintain, and offers outstanding water quality.

The design was created by landscape architect Dipl.-Ing. Oliver Petzel, supported by realistic 3D visualizations. The pool rises approximately 1.5 meters above ground level, while an elegantly integrated concrete wall secures the terrain and preserves the clean aesthetic of the property. Thanks to the elevated position, the house now enjoys breathtaking views across the lake. Through the expansive glass façade of the living room, the pool also becomes a striking focal point from indoors — both day and night.

The swimming pool, constructed from high-quality twelve-millimeter-thick polypropylene, is durable, low-maintenance, and visually flawless. A long staircase also serves as a seating bench, creating the perfect place to enjoy the panoramic scenery directly from the water.

Modern technology ensures consistently high water quality: the automatic treatment system operates via an Ospa BlueClear installation, which produces disinfectant on demand directly on site — hygienic, efficient, and low-maintenance. A custom-designed staircase leads directly from the pool area down to the lakeshore.

For its successful combination of design, location, and technical excellence, the project received the prestigious bsw Gold Award in 2023.

DESIGN DETAIL

In the evening hours, the entire pool area is bathed in relaxing warm-toned light. The three powerful underwater spotlights create a cool white contrast, highlighting the elongated entry staircase.
