Glasgow is about to gain a new kind of wellness address. This September, an underground bathhouse and spa called Atera will open on Oswald Street, just a short walk from Central Station, marking the first major UK commercial launch for international spa consultancy bbspa Group.
The company is already involved in more than 80 wellness projects worldwide, thirty of them in the UK — making Atera a significant milestone rather than a one-off venture.

Described as a subterranean sanctuary, Atera draws on Mediterranean wellness traditions and ancient bathing rituals, weaving together thermal, movement and treatment experiences beneath the heart of Glasgow.
