WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL
As part of a comprehensive renovation, a modern overflow pool was realized in a private garden in Hessen, seamlessly adjoining the floor-to-ceiling windows of the kitchen and living room. WEERTS Pools & Spa implemented a custom-designed PVC pool by VPS for the project. Measuring 11.22 x 3.52 x 1.45 meters, the new pool replaces an older fiberglass-reinforced plastic skimmer pool.
A premium Floorgres porcelain stoneware finish gives the pool an elegant and contemporary appearance. Two integrated massage niches evoke the feeling of a relaxing holiday retreat while offering direct views of the terrace television – a feature that transforms the pool area into an extension of the living space. A shallow-water zone with a depth of twenty centimeters allows for comfortable access directly from the house.
Since the pool is positioned approximately one meter above garden level, a cantilevered construction was required. Thanks to precise planning, the installation was successfully completed within a very tight timeframe.
The water treatment system operates fully automatically via a high-end filtration system by Ospa, equipped with BlueControl management technology and an electrolysis system, ensuring permanently hygienic water with minimal maintenance requirements. A roller cover was intentionally omitted in order to preserve the unobstructed view across the water – an impressive sight both during the day and at night.
For its outstanding design and technical perfection, the project received the prestigious bsw Gold Award in 2023.
DESIGN DETAIL
The pool’s overflow channel features a modern design, cleverly concealed beneath a natural stone cover. The integrated massage niches follow the same visual aesthetic and are operated via underwater sensor touch controls.
