A Light-Filled Pool Concept for Modern Homes

WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL

In the greater Nuremberg area, Wellnessmanufaktur, together with a landscape construction company, transformed an existing garden into a modern wellness oasis for the entire family. The pool forms the central connection between several newly created relaxation zones and was positioned directly in front of the house terrace, separated only by a narrow stone bed. As a result, the light blue water already provides a calm and atmospheric backdrop during afternoon coffee breaks.

The chosen pool model was the Fun 100 by Compass Pools. Measuring 10 x 4 meters, it offers ample space for both shared swimming enjoyment and athletic activity. The Nova Stone pool finish gives the water its bright, inviting blue appearance. Two narrow staircase entries at the front end of the pool are connected by a practical seating bench — perfect for relaxing in the sun while the dual-turbine counter-current system by Binder remains inactive. Integrated into the pool wall above the bench area, the system transforms the pool into a sports pool at the push of a button.

On the opposite side of the pool is the concealed in-floor roller cover, whose housing also functions as a comfortable seating bench. Pool control, filtration, and water heating are managed through coordinated components by BWT.

Completing the garden concept is a freestanding outdoor sauna positioned at the center of the adjacent lounge area. In the same architectural style, Wellnessmanufaktur also built a functional garden utility house at the rear of the property.

DESIGN DETAIL

The two staircases are connected by a seating bench and feature two generously sized steps at the same height, allowing people to sit together comfortably in the shallow water. The counter-current system is positioned above the bench.
