Greentech International Participates in European Water Treatment Chemicals Standardization Working Group

Greentech International took part for the first time in a European standardization working group dedicated to water treatment chemicals, joining industry stakeholders in Belfast on 20 and 21 May 2026 to discuss the future development of sector standards.

The meeting brought together manufacturers, technical experts, and other industry representatives to contribute to the ongoing review and evolution of standards governing water treatment chemicals across Europe. Discussions focused on ensuring that existing frameworks remain aligned with current regulatory requirements, environmental considerations, and emerging industry needs.

Greentech International was represented by Dr. Xavier Darok, who serves as Convenor of the working group. In this role, he coordinates the group’s activities and facilitates discussions on the revision and development of relevant standards.

The participation reflects the company’s growing involvement in European industry initiatives related to water treatment and disinfection technologies. By contributing technical expertise to the standardization process, Greentech International joins other stakeholders working to support the development of effective, safe, and sustainable solutions for water treatment applications.

European standards play an important role in establishing common requirements for product performance, safety, and quality throughout the sector. Ongoing collaboration between industry participants and standardization bodies is expected to remain a key driver in addressing future regulatory, environmental, and public health challenges.

The Belfast meeting marks another step in the continued effort to ensure that European water treatment standards evolve alongside technological innovation and changing market expectations.
