WHAT MAKES THIS SAUNA SPECIAL
At the Blue Line Apartment, a luxury residence in Iran’s Khuzestan Province, the sauna forms an integral part of a futuristic wellness environment defined primarily by its signature blue colour palette. Positioned at the rear of the spa area, it takes the form of an elongated cabin with a generous glass façade, allowing it to blend openly into the surrounding waterscape.
One of the sauna’s side walls is clad in the same blue tiles that characterize the adjacent pool and wet areas, creating a strong visual connection between the different wellness zones. The remaining walls and the ceiling are fully lined with timber, providing a warm counterpoint to the cool-toned tiles.

The sauna’s interior follows a minimalist design concept. An L-shaped bench defines the space and is dramatically illuminated from below by several large spotlights, accentuating the texture and depth of the wood. Directly adjacent is a second cabin, identical in geometry and proportions, which serves as a shower and cooling area.
The approach to the sauna has been deliberately conceived as part of the overall wellness experience. Visitors reach it via rounded stepping stones that lead across a shallow reflecting pool, creating a gradual transition from movement and activity to calmness and warmth even before entering the sauna itself.
DESIGN DETAIL
Organic forms, a carefully composed lighting scheme combining indirect and direct illumination, and the unifying use of premium timber give the apartment’s spa area its distinctive futuristic character. The blue-tiled feature wall extends seamlessly into the sauna, creating a visual connection between the different wellness spaces.
