Where Heritage Meets Modern Pool Design

WHAT MAKES THIS POOL SPECIAL

A charming listed townhouse in Luxembourg was enhanced by Nautilus Badkultur with a remarkable pool feature in its garden.

The custom-made concrete pool follows the alignment of the house and is directly connected to it, while still leaving a generously sized pathway in between. This creates a pleasant transition zone that invites relaxation with comfortable garden chairs by the poolside.

The paving made of large-format slabs surrounds the entire pool and is carefully color-coordinated with the residence, extending visually across the pool edge. The interior of the pool, however, stands out distinctly: with its shimmering appearance, it resembles a precious gemstone set within a light-colored frame.

This striking effect is achieved through large-format fine stoneware tiles from Rosagres, whose color variations in shades of blue and green give the water extraordinary depth and vibrancy.

The same tiles are used on the side steps in the front pool area, ensuring a consistent and harmonious design.

Technically and visually well integrated is the solar-powered automatic pool cover from Coverseal. Its casing is perfectly matched in color to the sandstone edges. When in operation, the cover moves along its own tracks across the pool and stretches tightly over the water surface—protecting the pool effectively from dirt and debris.

DESIGN DETAIL

While the benefits of a heat pump for pool heating are undeniable,
its appearance often seems too technical.
Here, the heat pump was cleverly concealed with a decorative wooden slat cladding,
allowing it to blend seamlessly into the garden design.
